What is a Boil and what are the symptoms of Boils?

I think that my friend is suffering from boil, because I have seen her in a painful situation and she is not being able to sleep because of the pain, so I want to about boils can anyone tell me that what is boil and what are the symptoms of boil, so that I can clarify my doubts.

swifty 		Boil is a skin disease which is caused due to the infection of hair follicles. This disease results in the accretion of pus which causes the growth of dead tissue. The boil gets cluster together and form the interconnected network of boils which is called carbuncles. The disease causes infection deep in the skin. The symptoms of boils disease is that it starts with reddened and tender area. As the disease grows the skin area becomes harder and that should be taken care of. Boils becomes more tender and painful. When the boil becomes ready to discharge pus yellow and white point at the centre is seen. Abscess is contained collection of pus. Boil can occur anywhere in or on the body. Proper treatment for boils at proper time is necessary. When the disease occurs the abscess becomes soft and gets filled with infection fighting white blood cells, which the body sends from blood stream to eliminate the infection. Finally it can be understood that the pus is the collection of white blood cells, bacteria and protein. Boils surgery is one method of boils treatment or it can be drained out through the surface of the skin.
